Imurj’s objective is to strengthen the local art community by providing an incubator for local talent, from amateur to professional, with cross-fertilization between performance and visual artistic mediums. Imurj’s 6000 square foot space located at 300 S. McDowell St in downtown Raleigh’s warehouse district (underneath the Whiskey Kitchen) houses well-equipped music, video, and art production studios, as well as a café/bar with stages for live performances, demonstrations, lectures, and seminars.
The event this weekend is open to the public and welcomes anyone that enjoys local art and music. Imurj is a membership-based club offering a $1/year public membership. Imurj also offers membership for artists and musicians who want to be more involved in the community.
