Ang. Local Artist Pop-Up

Imurj Artist Member Pop-Up Show

The most recent event in Imurj’s Local Artist Spotlight featured a “Pop-Up” show of 10 artist members performing 2-3 songs for the Saturday night crowd. Local Artist Spotlight coordinator, John Tracy, aimed to emphasize the artist community through networking and collaboration among the artist members, along with support for each performer. As the opening performer Chris Delusso stated, “one of the beautiful things about Imurj is how there’s every kind of music, and it’s all welcome here.”

Chris Delusso kicked off the show with his acoustic, classic rock tunes. As a regular performer at Open Mic night, Chris knows how to connect and collaborate with other artist members, which he showcased during his performance with Stephen Klingman on bass and Billy O’Brien on vocals. Popping up in the second spot on stage, Herman Martinez was able to answer our opportunity for members through the Artist Member Facebook page, and he entertained the crowd with his original acoustic set. Jon Wall hit the stage next with two original songs as a newer face to the Imurj community, after joining the artist membership at the last Open Mic event and getting himself on this event’s line-up. Another Open Mic regular, Billy O’Brien, got the crowd singing along with classics like “Wagon Wheel” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

Ang. stepped on stage to share her acoustic sound with the crowd, and her performance included “Last Year,” an original song about “positive nostalgia.” Her EP, “Not Another Love Story” will be ready in October, and you can follow her on Spotify. Another familiar face, Nat Howl performed his original indie song “Temptress,” and debuted a new song for the crowd. Nat Howl is currently recording his first album, and you can follow his music on Soundcloud. Switching it up, South Rome and SkywalkRX performed their original hip-hop songs, and pumped the crowd with their freestyle abilities. Ending the show, Dustin Buck performed his original song “Better,” and catchy untitled song. He’ll be back on the Imurj stage for the Local Artist Spotlight on November 15th, and you can check out his music on Soundcloud.
